Julia was waiting tables that night
Maybe it could have been love at first sight
Sipping on a cola by the garbage bins
She met Robbie Hart and her head did spin

He was in love and Linda was her name
But she left him at the altar, he wasn’t to blame

All the while falling in love and forgetting
That she couldn’t be his coz she was due to wed
The guy from the city with the money instead
Now he doesn’t like the way his story is heading

The other bought a diamond but is his love true?

They kissed but it wasn’t meant to mean anything
But it made them both blush and it made their hearts sing
Then he found City Guy was a lying cheat
When he called the waitress Top Choice Meat
But he couldn’t bring himself to say, “Girl, take off that ring.”
Then he came home drunk to find Linda at his door
He said, “I just don’t wanna be alone anymore.”
Now she’s in her underwear and his Van Halen shirt
And Julia’s feeling confused and hurt
Coz she though Robbie liked her but now she’s not sure

So she jumped on a plane to Vegas right away
But Robbie’s right behind her here to save the day
And with a little help from his friends
He wins that girl’s heart in the end
